Language: Chang Naga
Chang is a Naga of Nagaland, India. It is one of the recognized scheduled tribes. The tribe was also known as Mazung in British India. The Chang language is spoken by the Chang tribe of the Tuengsang area in Nagaland with a population of 62,400 (2001 census). The Chang Nagas belong to the Indo- Mongolian people group and linguistically belongs to the Indo- Tibeto – Burman group. First portion was published in 1947, and the complete New Testament was published in 1982 through the Bible Society of India. Later the complete Bible in Chang Naga was published in the year 2002 through the Bible Society of India.
